Just because was in Tokyo and there, everything is different. But the hotel is very nice. I recommend
Is far from the metro station and breakfast is not included.

There was a traditional Japanese theme to the hostel. When you enter, you are asked to take off your shoes, and there's a cupboard by the door to put them in. You can then wear the provided slippers around the building. The bedroom has a tatami mat floorings, with futons to sleep on. The hostel also had themed rooms, for example, an "otaku" themed bathroom. Aircon was provided, and you can eat breakfast at the nearby Aizuya Inn Bar.
The only negative things about the Inn was that it is slightly out of the city, however it was still really easy to travel into the city as the train station was only a ten minute walk away. Also, the showers were only on the ground floor, and to reach the showers you needed to go through the main reception area- so you couldn't just sling on a towel and go to the shower! Otherwise, no complaints!

The stay at Aizuya Inn was a very enjoyabel time. And the staff felt more like friends, than someone you've got to pay money to :) I can only recommend this hostel, especially to younger people who want to travel without having to spend enormous amounts of money. Also, you can get to know a lot of people in the small lounge downstairs. + Staff is very friendly and helpful + Staff is fluent in other languages (English, French) + Cozy interior, feels like home :) + Free use of internet (Wifi & computers provided) + Rooms and bathing facilities are clean + Only 5 minute Walk from Tokyo Metro and JR Line + The 7/11 only a few minutes away offers the possibility to withdraw money (Visa Card)
- Bad sound insolation (but you will live :D) - Since the kitchen can be used by everybody, it tends to be not as clean - Not really a problem, but the showers cost 100¥ per 5 minutes, which can get quite expenive on long terms (we stayed for 3 weeks)

It was a lovely place to stay, a great place for my first time away from home. Met some cool people there. The toilets are so interesting! Plenty on the walls to read while doing your business.. Very helpful staff, especially Raoul. Thanks so much! :D

Japanese Style single room
Difficulties to find it, no signage for direction. At night, the hotel sign board was not light up and its difficult to spot it since its not on the main street.

Aizuya Inn Staff is really friendly and tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Bathrooms were always clean. I liked my room.
some kitchen supplies really need to be cleaned, e.g. the grill. And you have to pay for cooking: 10min 100yen
